Season Information

Bristol Wrestling Club is open to boys & girls in grades k-8.

Membership & Registration Fee is $80

Our season begins with practice on October 23rd from 6 pm to 8 pm.  We will practice two days per week (Tues & Thurs) through November.  Beginning in December we will add a third practice night.

All participants must have an AAU Card prior to practice.  Registration cannot be completed without the AAU number.  Please sign up with AAU before beginning to register.  Card can be obtained at www.aausports.org.  Please purchase the "extended benefit" membership - $16.  Our CLUB CODE is WY793Y.

We are competing in a local developmental league this season. These tournaments will be held on Saturday in Kingsport.  Time is approximately 1-5 pm.  This league is for new and developmental wrestlers only and is a great opportunity to learn the sport in a low stress environment.

A competition schedule is posted on our website.  Tournaments begin in November and run through March.  You can choose to compete in all or only a few.

Our home tournament is the Bristol Brawl on January 6, 2019.  A representative from each family is required to volunteer at our tournament or you may choose the opt out fee.  Please be sure to carefully read the Volunteer/Opt Out Policy (during the registration process) regarding volunteering at our tournament.

Clean wrestling shoes are required for all practices.  Shorts & t-shirts are appropriate practice attire.  Wrestling shoes should not be worn outside, even to/from the car.

Wrestling shoes, a singlet, and headgear are required to participate in tournaments.  Shoes and headgear can be purchased online or at Dicks Sporting Goods.  We recommend the Cliff Keen Tornado or Signature headgear.  Singlets will be ordered at the close of registration and should arrive in 6 weeks.  Singlets will not be required for the developmental league.  All other tournaments require a singlet.  Singlet cost is approximately $70.

Our coaching staff has been carefully chosen and we follow a very disciplined philosophy and practice structure. We can always use extra coaching help and no experience is necessary.  If you would like to volunteer to help coach, you must go through the AAU coaching certification process which includes a background check.  If you are interested in helping coach, please speak with John Almany or Tim Marshall.

We are located at 320 Bluff City Hwy, Bristol, TN.  We are in the same building at Big Lots, on the back.
